Libra (Guild of the Crimson Scales)

Updated:

Libra is a temporary NPC caravan that does what is impossible in the regular game: it changes your primary and secondary classes. without losing a level and swaps out the currently equipped gear for a different type while preserving sharpness, attributes, and augmentations. Available for a limited number of days. All transactions are irreversible.

Lineage 2 is a game where a single mistake can cost you weeks or months. Pick the wrong class—you’ll have to start leveling up all over again. If you reforge the wrong weapon, your investment is wasted. Libra breaks this rule: for a few days, a window opens where you can almost completely rebuild your character while retaining your level and all your investments in gear.

What this means for a beginner: Don’t worry about choosing the wrong class or weapon type at the start. The bug is being fixed—but only through the Libra window and only for a fee.

What is Libra? is not:

  • This is not an upgrade. It does not increase the item's rank.

  • This is not a bank. You cannot “remove and transfer” enchanting—you can only transfer it along with the item exchange.

  • This is not a reversal. Once it’s done, you can’t undo it—not even through support.

NPCs disappear the moment the event ends—along with all your “I’ll finish that tomorrow” plans. In the final hours, the square is filled with a crowd and panic; there’s no way you’ll be able to calmly tally up your budget anymore.

Mechanics: Changing Your Primary Class

Libra Core. Operates via an item Stone of Destiny.

Rules

  • 1 Stone of Destiny = 1 primary class change.

  • The Stone Changes only the main class. It doesn't affect the dual—there's a separate procedure for the dual.

What to Keep

  • Level and experience — in full. Changing classes does not reset your progress.

  • SP, inventory, equipment, clan, collections.

What Changes or Is Lost

  • Skill enhancements (enchanting) wear off. A new class starts with its skills “from scratch.”

  • Class-specific mechanics disappear along with the class—if a class had a unique system, the new one will not have it.

  • If a new class belongs to a different race— Race, gender, and appearance can be changed, the appearance reverts to the default.

  • Equipment remains, but may become useless: an archer with a staff cannot fight. Can be repaired by Cheren— in the same Libra window.

There are no restrictions on archetypes. Archer → mage, mage → tank — permitted.

Procedure

  1. Obtain (or purchase) the Stone of Destiny from Krasen.

  2. Open the class selection window and choose a class. Read the warnings—they’re there for a reason.

  3. Confirmed. No rollback: neither during this event nor after it.

  4. Go straight to Cheren and switch your gear to match your new class.

Mechanics: Changing Dual Classes

  • The dual-class level cap has been raised to 85—a new dual class does not start from scratch.

  • All of the Old Dual's skills, including sharpened ones, are removed; the skills of the new dual profession are granted.

  • Enchanting of dual skills is completely lost. Calculate the cost of restoration to transactions.

  • The Stone of Destiny isn’t needed here—it’s a separate service offered by Zelen.

Mechanics: Equipment Trading (Main)

The reason even those who don’t plan to change classes are looking forward to Libra.

The Idea. The item is replaced with an equivalent item of the same rank but a different type. Sword → bow. Heavy armor → robe. Tiara → a different type of tiara.

Moves to a new item

  • ✅ Enchanting (enhancement) — a +12 sword becomes a +12 bow.

  • ✅ Augmentation (enchanting).

  • ✅ Elemental Boost (attribute).

  • ✅ Soul Crystals and Special Properties.

What's Changing

Weapons, armor (including distinctions between types: robe ↔ light ↔ heavy), tiaras, talismans, rings, and other jewelry. Plus Cheren’s special services: crafting unique weapons and sealing talismans.

Mechanics: agathions, dyes, crystals, artifacts

Sineya's Block — “everything else you’ve invested in.”

  • Dyes. The exchange often returns random set, not the one you selected from the menu. This is not a bug, but intended behavior—do not expect an exact result.

  • Agathions, artifacts, Soul Crystals, dragon weapons — vary according to their own tables; some exchanges have a chance of success.

Rose Covers daily management: supplies, exchanging enchanting stones for the desired rank, and event currency → consumables.
