Mentoring

Updated:

In short

  • Mentoring (“mentor”) is a contract between a character level 105+ and a character level 104 or lower. The mentor receives Mentee's Mark, apprentice — buffs.

  • A single student's full cycle (85 → 105) earns the mentor 100,000 characters. Of these 60,000 — as a lump-sum payment for a 105-issue run.

  • There are three slots. After each release, a new apprentice becomes available through 1 day.

  • Characters are only spent at NPCs Mentor Guide. The maximum price is 300,000, which is equivalent to three graduated apprentices.

  • It costs the student nothing to switch to another mentor: there is no penalty, and a new contract is signed immediately.

How to Sign a Contract

  1. Click Alt+Y (or Main Menu → Contacts) and go to the tab Mentoring.

  2. Click “plus,” enter the character’s name, and click Add to list.

  3. The student accepts the invitation—the contract is active, and the name appears on the list.

Either party may terminate the contract unilaterally: the other party’s consent or presence is not required. To terminate the contract, select the student from the list and click the “minus” button.

Apprentice Marks: How Many and When

Signs come to the mentor by mail When a player reaches a milestone level. Rewards are paid out at four milestones, not at every level: there are no rewards between levels 85 and 99.

Points are awarded to the person listed as the mentor. upon leveling up. Changing mentors midway through the quest splits the reward between the two characters.

The unit of measurement for the entire system is “graduated student” = 100,000 Marks. From here on, all prices are calculated in “students”: Sphere = 3 students, Atlas Earring = 1 student, Agathion Keychain = half a student. It makes no sense to count Marks in thousands.

Release — 60% of the total payment. That is precisely why the market trades not in “level 0 characters,” but in level 104.99 characters: the buyer pays for 60,000, which will be available in a couple of minutes, rather than for 100,000, which would take days of grinding to obtain.

Levels below 85 yield nothing for the mentor. An 84-level apprentice and a 30-level apprentice are worth the same—zero.
